Y’all asked, so we answered! Now you can learn how to achieve my signature “Becca Beach Waves” in this simple tutorial with my hair guru Tauni as she breaks down the look step-by-step. Tauni is a highly sought-after hairstylist from 901 Hair Salon in Los Angeles, an expert in all things hair, and the brains behind creating my everyday beach waves. So, let’s get started!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Thermal Protectant Spray – First things first, protection! Tauni uses Unite’s 7 seconds glossing spray, an anti-humectant shine spray that instantly fights frizz while providing UV and thermal protection. Hold 5-to-6 inches away from your head and spray onto dry hair before heat styling. You can also add a final spritz to the finished style if you’re feelin’ an extra round of gloss!
  • Curling Iron – For this look, we use T3 Micro’s Twirl Convertible Curling Iron with Interchangeable Clip Barrel. You can also try out T3 Micro’s Whirl Trio Interchangeable Styling Wand to create those effortless-looking, tousled waves. Both work great, but it’s all about finding the right products and tools for you!
  • Texture Paste – To add softness without losing that natural, rough texture we use a creamy texture paste, like the Second Day finishing cream from Unite. It’s weightless finishing cream that creates a natural worn texture and aids in thermal protection. This really helps to define the waves and add a subtle shine to the hair.
  • Finishing Spray – Last, but not least we use the R+Co Soft Wave Spray, which is a volumizing hairspray with a lightweight formula that adds natural-looking waves and body. This texturizing spray has vitamin C-rich amla that nourishes and conditions the hair and scalp. Sea kelp gives strands extra shine, softness, and volume- while rosehip leaves them feeling revitalized! I can’t get enough of this stuff, so good!

Once you have everything you’ll need to create this look, you’re ready to watch Tauni show you how to master this mane! Follow along as she explains the techniques she uses and what advice she has for you guys when it comes to styling your hair.

I hope you all loved watching Tauni and myself, and are able to use these tips for styling your own hair at home. Trust me, I know we all wish we had a personal Tauni around, but with a little practice, I know you will all be beach wave bombshells in no time. Now, get to it babes!
