As I explored teepees on the properties of Rancho Valencia, turns out all I needed was a great straight-from-the-90s metallic bomber, a killer crop top and jorts (that’s jean shorts…) Completely normal uniform for a 5-star resort, am I right?
The truth is that I ended up having a let’s-launch-this-blog meeting in San Diego which turned into a let’s have a photoshoot. Needless to say, Rancho Valencia’s backdrops provided a change of scenery and frankly, we were forced to take some shots because it’s gorg. First of which started in this teepee. Like, really? A TEEPEE!!! Through writing this, I found out it can also be spelled “tipi,” but I think I like the other way. Anyways, it’s placed in their lush and very large backyard near their suites…and we sure did have a good time in there. You really missed out if you didn’t watch those Snaps.
While this is meant to be a style post, here are some travel tips to make a trip to San Diego all that you’ve ever dreamt of. One of my favorite cities! And well, that’s where this style post was taken… so, ya…
San Diego travel tips:
- San Diego is very split up, so decide where you want to go, whether that’s Downtown (fun, hey let’s party!) or North County (beach, scenery, let’s relax rn).
- San Diego has some amazing resorts, from L’Auberge Del Mar to Rancho Valencia, but it can be pretty pricey… if you’re looking for something more cost-efficient, stay closer to the 5 freeway and farther away from the beach. They have plenty of cute Air Bnb options.
- San Diego’s dining scene has taken off recently (I used to live there FYI)…some of the favorites (budget ranging)…Pacific Coast Grill, Herringbone, Queenstown, Urban Solace, Wine Steals…
- Activities are literally endless…hiking Torrey Pines, the Wild Animal Park, the beach, downtown’s nightlife, or cute shops in Little Italy.
